I find it hard to switch off. I'll be in bed, but my mind is still racing from the day or thinking about tomorrow's session. What's your non-negotiable "wind down" ritual that signals to your brain it's time to sleep?
Blue light glasses on at 8 PM. No screens (phone/TV) at all 30 mins before bed. I read an actual, physical book. Boring, I know, but it works every single time.
Hot shower or bath. The drop in your body temperature *after* you get out is a powerful sleep signal. I also take magnesium glycinate about an hour before bed.
10 minutes of light stretching and mobility work. Nothing intense. Just focusing on breathing and releasing tension from the day. Helps me disconnect from the "grind" mindset.
The "brain dump" is a great idea. I think that's my problem, planning the next day. Going to try that tonight, along with the reading. Cheers!
