What Finally Got Your Numbers Moving?
I’ve tried a bunch of the usual stuff, but I’m curious about the one change that actually made a noticeable difference for you guys. Could’ve been technique, programming, recovery, food, whatever. What was the ā€œoh shit, this is workingā€ moment that finally pushed your total up?

Honestly? Fixing my technique. I stopped trying to muscle every rep and spent a few months actually working on my setup. Numbers started moving pretty quick after that.
Re: What Finally Got Your Numbers Moving?
For me it was eating enough. šŸ˜‚ I thought I was ā€œbulkingā€ but was barely eating above maintenance. Once I got serious about food, strength finally started climbing.
Re: What Finally Got Your Numbers Moving?
Sleep was the big one. Nothing fancy. Started getting 7–8 hours consistently and my workouts felt way less hit-or-miss.
Re: What Finally Got Your Numbers Moving?
That’s the kind of stuff I was looking for. I feel like everyone immediately says ā€œprogressive overloadā€ but never talks about the boring things that actually make it possible to keep progressing.
Re: What Finally Got Your Numbers Moving?
Changing my programming helped a lot. I was maxing out way too often and basically practicing grinders instead of getting stronger. Backed off the ego lifting, added more quality work, and my total started creeping up again.
Re: What Finally Got Your Numbers Moving?
For me it was just finally sticking with one program long enough to see what it could do. I used to change shit every time progress slowed down. šŸ˜‚ Turns out I probably just needed some patience.
Re: What Finally Got Your Numbers Moving?
Yeah, I’ve definitely been guilty of that too. šŸ˜‚ Sometimes I think we’re looking for some secret trick when the real answer is probably better training, enough food, and actually giving the plan time to work.
