Looking to get some proper knee sleeves for my squat days. My knees just feel a bit achy and unstable on the heavier sets. I see 7mm neoprene ones recommended a lot. Are they the way to go? Any brand recommendations?

Yes mate. 7mm is the standard for powerlifting/heavy squats. 5mm is more for general WODs/metcons. The 7mm gives you that compression and warmth. Makes the joint feel solid.

Can't go wrong with SBDs, but they're pricey. Rehband and STrong sleeves are also top-notch.

What Pro said. 7mm is what you want. Just remember they are a *support*, not a fix. Don't use them to mask bad form or pain. Use them to support good form on heavy lifts. And make sure you get the sizing right - they should be *tight*.

Brilliant. 7mm it is. And good point about them being a support, not a fix. I'll check out those brands. Cheers lads.
