Got a big event coming up and the nerves are already kicking in, especially at night (wrecking my sleep). What are your go-to strategies for managing that pre-race anxiety?

Routine, routine, routine. I visualize the *entire* process. Waking up, breakfast, kit check, warm-up. By the time I get to the start line, I've 'done it' 100 times. Takes the unknown out of it.

I listen to specific music. Gets me in the zone. Also, I focus on *process* goals (e.g., 'hit my setup cues') not *outcome* goals (e.g., 'lift X amount'). Can't control the outcome, but I can control the setup.

Renaming the feeling is brilliant. Going to try that. And the process goals too. Cheers!
