Sleep Tracking: Useful Tool or Obsession?

Hey team. Been using a sleep tracker (watch) for a few months. Sometimes the data is bang on, other times I feel great and it says I had 'poor' sleep, which then messes with my head.

Curious what everyone thinks. Are these trackers helpful for recovery, or just another stressor?

I found I got a bit obsessive too. I stopped looking at the 'score' and just use the data to see *trends*, like if my heart rate variability (HRV) is consistently low after heavy squat days. Data points, not a report card!

HRV is the only metric I rate, to be honest. The 'sleep stages' seem like guesswork. If my HRV is in the green, I push. If it's red, I dial back the intensity. Simple as.
