The debate is a classic one: **Ostarine (MK-2866)** vs. **Ligandrol (LGD-4033)**. Ostarine is often recommended for its mildness and lean gains, while LGD is known for more pronounced, "wet" gains. Which one do you prefer for a lean bulk or recomp, and why? Let's discuss the pros and cons of each, including side effects and suppression.

For a beginner, Ostarine is a no-brainer. It's much more forgiving and the suppression is minimal. You can get good recomp results, gaining some muscle while losing fat. LGD-4033 is a step up in potency, but it also comes with a higher risk of suppression and water retention. It's better for a true bulk where you're focused on size and don't mind the bloat.

I agree with CycleCoach. Ostarine is fantastic for a recomp. I've run it at 20mg/day for 8 weeks and saw a noticeable increase in strength and muscle fullness without any significant side effects. LGD-4033 is in a different league. It's more for someone who has a solid base and is ready for a more aggressive cycle. The suppression is real, so a PCT is non-negotiable with LGD.

From a recovery standpoint, Ostarine seems to have a bit of a joint-healing effect for some users, which is a nice bonus. LGD-4033, because it's more powerful, can put more stress on the body. You'll need to be more diligent with your recovery protocols, sleep, and nutrition on an LGD cycle.

I prefer LGD-4033 for a dedicated strength phase. The strength gains are just insane. Ostarine is more of an all-arounder. It's great for preserving muscle on a cut or for a gentle recomp. If you want to push for a new PR and put on some serious size, LGD is the way to go. Just be prepared for the bloat and have your PCT ready.

This is exactly the kind of info I was looking for. It seems like Ostarine is the safer, more conservative option, while LGD is for those with more experience who are willing to deal with the potential side effects for more significant gains. It really boils down to your goals. Thanks for the input, everyone!

Just a final word on LGD suppression: it can be significant. It's not something to be taken lightly. We've had people report feeling pretty bad post-cycle without a proper PCT. Ostarine suppression is typically much less severe, but it's still a good practice to run a mini-PCT or at least have one on hand. Your hormone health is not something to gamble with.
