I believe they are incredibly important! I try to get most of my Omega-3s from wild-caught salmon, sardines, and flaxseeds. Supplementing with a good quality fish oil is also a regular part of my routine, especially since my diet isn't always perfect.

Excellent question, @FreshFork. Yes, rancidity can reduce effectiveness and potentially be harmful. Look for supplements that are third-party tested for purity, potency, and freshness (low TOTOX values). Storing them in the fridge helps too.
