Pre-workout: A banana with a tablespoon of almond butter for quick energy. Post-workout: A protein shake (whey or plant-based) with water or unsweetened almond milk, usually within 30-60 minutes.

For pre-workout, if I have more time, oatmeal with fruit. It provides sustained energy. Post-workout, a meal with lean protein (chicken/fish) and complex carbs (sweet potato/quinoa) is ideal for recovery.

I like to keep it simple. Pre-workout is usually a handful of dates or a rice cake. Post-workout, I aim for a balanced meal like grilled chicken and a big serving of roasted vegetables.

I try to get my pre-workout snack in about 45-60 minutes before. Post-workout, I aim for my protein shake within 30 minutes, then a solid meal within 1-2 hours.
