And don't feel like you need a huge block of time. Even 15-20 minutes of activity can make a difference in your mood.

The main thing is to find something you enjoy, so you'll stick with it. Forced exercise often adds to stress, ironically!

It's interesting how different types of exercise work for different people! I find gentler exercises like walking help me, but PowerLifterPro and HealthExplorer's points about intense exercise are valid too for releasing pent-up energy.

Cycling, especially long rides, is my meditative practice. The rhythm, the scenery, it all helps to clear my mind and work through any stress. Plus, the physical exertion helps release tension.

Lifting weights is my ultimate stress reliever. There's something so satisfying about pushing your limits, and the focus required leaves no room for stressing about other things.
