The "social media detox" seems like a good middle ground. Might try that first. Cheers!

Just turning off notifications is a good first step. I found the full detox too much, but having no pop-ups or buzzes means I check my phone on *my* terms, not its terms.

I can't go full detox (need my head unit for data), but I do a "social media" detox every weekend. I delete the apps on Friday afternoon and re-install Monday. Stops the endless scrolling and comparison.

I do this once a quarter! The first few hours are weird, you keep checking your pocket. But by the second day, it's bliss. My sleep improves and my stress levels plummet. Highly recommend.

Digital detox for mental reset? Anyone tried one?

Thinking of doing a "digital detox" for a weekend. No phone, no social media, no Garmin connect. Just training and living. Has anyone tried this? Did it actually help your mindset or just make you anxious?
