Good perspective. Maybe the issue is the 'structure' of it. If I just treat it as 'moving' rather than 'training', it might feel better.

I treat it as mental recovery. I'll spin easy, but I'll listen to a podcast or music I enjoy. No structure, no power targets. Just turn the legs over. If I dread it, I skip it and just stretch.

100%. Sometimes a 'rest day' means not putting on lycra. I find a gentle walk (in normal clothes!) works, but if I have to 'kit up' for a 30 min 'easy spin', it feels like a chore.

My coach schedules 'active recovery' (light spin, walk) on rest days. Physically, it's fine. But mentally, sometimes I feel like I just want a *total* day off from 'training'. Anyone else find it mentally taxing to *always* be 'recovering'?
