Good discussion. Food is medicine, especially when you're trying to mend.

Agreed. Every little bit counts. And it makes you feel more in control of your recovery.

That's a great point about caloric intake, CycleStrategist. It's easy to forget that your body needs extra fuel during recovery. It seems like a holistic approach with good protein, healthy fats, micronutrients, and hydration is the way to go.

For a while, I stuck to a stricter paleo-style diet to reduce any potential inflammatory triggers. No grains, no dairy. It felt good, and I definitely felt less joint stiffness overall. Hard to say if it sped up healing directly, but it certainly didn't hurt.

I tried to incorporate more turmeric and ginger into my cooking – natural anti-inflammatories. Not sure if it made a huge difference on its own, but combined with everything else, it felt like I was giving my body the best chance.

It sounds like a common thread is increased **protein and anti-inflammatory foods**. That's good to hear. Has anyone tried specific protocols like a more anti-inflammatory diet, or focused heavily on certain micronutrients?
